I am not an outside dog. I have a BEDROOM, I do not know many BRTs who don’t. Sometimes you may hear one of our owners crying to another human stating that “we have TAKEN OVER THEIR room”, it is much easier to allow them to  think this way. As long as we know the truth, that is all that matters.

When I am outside adventuring, I get tired and hot, I start to look for a cool place to lie down. My favorite spot is under the Acer Palmatum dissectum Crimson Queen (Japanese Laceleaf Maple Tree). The foliage is lush and creates a great shady spot. My mom keeps it pruned a foot off of the ground so I can easily see out, just in case the wind blows and I need to rush out and pursue it with my ferocious bark. I LOVE chasing the wind, it runs fast when I bark!

I LOVE my Japanese Laceleaf Maple Tree. Sometimes I show it how much I love it by chewing a limb off or two. My mom always asks me what the tree has ever done to me to deserve such a beating. I thought I was simply caressing it with my teeth. Mom tells me it is a good thing these are durable and non-toxic trees or one of us wouldn’t survive this relationship. I have no idea what she means, I do know...I LOVE THIS TREE!
